(Yes, it’s the obligatory NaNoWriMo post.)
Well, it’s just about NaNo season! For the uninitiated, NaNoWriMo is an annual event that takes place in November that challenges people to write a 50,o00 word novel in a month. And that’s about as much as I’m saying. :P
Um. I need more words?
Surprisingly, NaNoWriMo isn’t that difficult, once you get into the swing of things; personally, I can write about 1,000 words an hour (which is a bit slow), meaning I can usually get to the daily word goal of 1,667 words in about an hour and a half. Imagine; for less than two hours a day you can write a novel (granted, it’ll be a very rough draft, but think of the possibilities!); that’s better than a lot of exercise programs!*
So go, sign up at the site (handily linked by me at the top of this blog post), and live out your dreams! Or not, if your dreams do not involve writing or if you have no dreams.
Guk, how cheesy and silly can I sound? Oh well, WRITE!
*I don’t actually know if this is a factual statement.
(I wrote this in ten minutes!)
(This is really horrible!)
(This is terrible abuse of parentheses!)
