Weekly Haiku 21

Dull and changeless world;

Memories of youth bring me

Comfort in the dark.

The City

Mist hangs like a shroud

Above the sleeping city;

Who dares brave this hour?

After the Rain

Sunshine and hot air

Contrast the still dripping tree;

Rain passed so sudden.

Cicadas roaring;

The air alive with the sound

Of nature’s lusting.

Youth, who long for age;

The old, still clinging youth;

Mad, those caught between.
